Profile

Julio Giulietti, S.J., is a research fellow at the Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs. He was the coordinator of the Myanmar Leadership Institute, which provides a transformative education to youth adults of Myanmar to prepare them for leadership roles. Prior to assuming this role, he founded the Loyola Vietnam Center, the educational enterprise of Loyola University Chicago in Vietnam. The center shares expertise with Vietnamese professionals in the areas of higher educational curriculum design, advanced nursing, medical and surgical education, and small business development. Giulietti has previously served as president of Wheeling Jesuit University, as a member of the faculty at Boston College and director of its Center for Ignatian Spirituality, and as director of Georgetown University's Center for Intercultural Education and Development. He has master's degrees in world religions and counseling, as well as a doctorate in theology.
