Katie Thompson is a strategic religious engagement fellow at the Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs, where she supports an initiative dedicated to preserving and strengthening the U.S. government’s capacity for strategic religious engagement in the contexts of diplomacy, development, and defense. From 2022 to 2025, Thompson served as a senior program analyst with the Center for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). In this role, she led the center’s partner engagement, communications, and programming portfolio. Prior to joining USAID, Thompson was a program director at the Center for Public Justice where she led a program equipping young adults for civic engagement through research, advocacy, and coalition-building. She holds a master's of public policy from The George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree from Gordon College.
