Kessley Janvier (C'25) is a senior at Georgetown University, majoring in history, and an aspiring lawyer. As a student organizer with Hoyas Advocating for Slavery Accountability and former president of the Georgetown University NAACP, Kessley has led efforts to promote reparations, climate justice, police accountability, and racial justice on her campus and nationwide. Her work includes organizing an on-campus vigil honoring Tyre Nichols, collaborating with Rep. Cori Bush’s office on the introduction of the historic Reparations Now Resolution, organizing Georgetown’s first Slavery Remembrance Day, and recently protesting voter suppression in Georgia. Her work has been featured in NBC News, Essence Magazine Girls United, the National Catholic Reporter, the Georgetown Voice, and The Hoya.
