Kuebra Guemuesay is a journalist and blogger for major German newspapers and magazines, among them Die Zeit, Zeit Campus, Der Freitag, and taz. Guemuesay currently works as a full-time consultant for social media, innovation, and communication at the University of Oxford's Saïd Business School. She became the first hijabi columnist in Germany when she started writing a column for taz in 2010. She has spoken about Islam, racism, feminism, and social media at universities, conferences, and in the press (including television and radio); she gave a TEDxOxbridge talk on "The Power of Stories."
