Leon G. Shahabian serves as president and executive producer of Layalina, a Washington, DC based non-profit that works on improving US-Arab relations. He co-founded Layalina in 2002 and has since produced twelve documentaries and television series distributed by Warner Brothers, New Line Television, and O3 Productions. In 2014, Layalina received 13 film industry awards. Shahabian has served since 2008 as the senior editor of Perspectives, a public diplomacy op-ed series. He is a frequent guest lecturer at leading universities and think tanks. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Pennsylvania State University, Shahabian is a life member of the Public Diplomacy Council, a director of the Rene Moawad Foundation USA, a mentor at Flat6Labs in Abu Dhabi, and a 2013 recipient of the Penn State Alumni Achievement Award.
