Fr. Luís Corrêa Lima, S.J. is a professor of theology at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro whose work focuses on history of the Catholic Church. His interest in becoming a priest began in middle school, and he entered the Society of Jesus at age 22. Since then, he has worked in several countries and has been active in the study of sexual diversity and religion, speaking out against abuse in the Church and advocating a message of acceptance for the Catholic LGBTQ community. He helped to establish Diversidade Católica, a Brazilian organization for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and questioning Catholic laypeople.
