Madeleine
Penda Ndiaye is the program manager of the Program
for Food Security in the Department of Foundiougne (Programme pour la sécurité Alimentaire dans le département de Foundiougne, PROSAF), a food security
initiative sponsored by the Lutheran Church of Senegal in the Kaolack region. Originally from Péléo Sérères, Senegal Ndiaye began working with the Lutheran Church of
Senegal by coordinating a project in Mbour and later managing PROSAF. Ndiaye is Catholic and comes from a multifaith family, with both Muslim and
Christian relatives. She draws on religious teachings to guide her work in
Senegal. She earned her master’s degree in management and marketing.
