María del Socorro Castañeda-Liles is co-founder of Becoming Mujeres, a program that offers seminars and workshops to Latina teens and their female caregivers. Previously, she taught in the Department of Religious Studies at Santa Clara University. She is author of Our Lady of Everyday Life: La Virgen deGuadalupe and the Catholic Imagination of Mexican Women in America (2018).
