Berkley Center

Marie Aimee Umugeni is the president of the Nyamirambo Women’s Center, based in Kigali, Rwanda. She and 18 other women founded the center in 2007, and she became president in 2011. The center provides a variety of classes and services, including literacy, computer, and tailoring training; participants produce items for the center's Umutima Cooperative housewares and clothing line. The center also offers a neighborhood walking tour to tourists. Umugeni studied management at a local university.
