Martin Perez Baertl is an undergraduate student in the Walsh School of Foreign Service, class of 2020, majoring in international politics with a focus on foreign policy processes. At Georgetown, he is also a Student-Scholar at the Center for Latin American Studies and an accountant for The Corp. He is very fond of any sport that involves water, especially surfing and water polo. For the fall 2018 semester, Baertl studied at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and blogged for the Junior Year Abroad Network. He was absolutely thrilled to be in China and interested in comparing his experience in Asia to his time living and working in South Africa during summer 2018.
