Martin Whittingham is Director of the Centre for Muslim-Christian Studies in Oxford and is also a supernumerary research fellow and tutor at Regent's Park College, Oxford University. He has degrees in English Literature and Christian Theology, as well as a doctorate in Islamic Studies from the University of Edinburgh. He has taught Islam and Muslim-Christian relations in university and Christian college settings, and his research interests focus on the history of Muslim responses to aspects of Christianity. Among his publications is Al-Ghazālī and the Qur’ān (2007).
