Marwan Mohammed is a sociologist at the Centre Maurice Halbwachs in Paris and a former research fellow at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice (CUNY). His main research interests are organized crime, law, and justice, as well as race, racism, politics of Islam, and Islamophobia in France. His last book—Communautarisme? (with Julien Talpin, 2018)—explores the politicization of the word communitarianism in France.
