Matthew Stevens is the country director of Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) Jordan and project director for JRS Higher Education in Amman, Jordan. At JRS, Stevens oversees the long-term vision of the center; he is responsible for resolving financial and legal issues within the program and managing its daily operations. Prior to JRS, Stevens worked briefly for the international humanitarian organization Cooperative for Assistance and Relief Everywhere. Stevens received a B.A. from the University of Alberta and a master's degree in geography from York University, where he conducted research with the Center for Refugee Studies.
