Meghan Flaherty graduated from Georgetown's School of Foreign Service in 2011 with a major in comparative and regional studies, focusing on Latin America and the Middle East. She also received a certificate in international development. Meghan participated in the Berkley Center's Junior Year Abroad Network while studying in Santiago, Chile during the fall of 2009 and Amman, Jordan during the spring of 2010.
