Michael J. Gerson is a nationally syndicated columnist who appears twice weekly in the Washington Post and in nearly 100 other newspapers. He has also been a senior advisor at ONE, a bipartisan organization dedicated to the fight against extreme poverty and preventable diseases, since August 2010. From 2001 to 2006, he served as a speechwriter and advisor to President George W. Bush. Gerson is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on Values. He appears regularly on the PBS NewsHour, Face the Nation, and other programs. His policy interests include politics, global health and development, and religion and foreign policy. He is the author of City of Man: Religion and Politics in a New Era (2010, with Peter Wehner) and Heroic Conservatism (2007). In 2005, TIME magazine named Gerson one of the 25 most influential evangelicals in America.
