Michael Jerryson is an associate professor of religious studies at Youngstown State University. He has published a series of books on religion and violence, several of which focus on Buddhism. His research interests pertain to religion and identity, particularly with regard to gender, race, and class. In addition to his publications, he is the co-founder and co-chair of the American Academy of Religion's Comparative Approaches to Religion and Violence.
