Rev. Munsu Park, S.J. works for the Jesuit Research Center for Advocacy and Solidarity in Seoul, South Korea. Born in the United States, he traveled to Seoul in 1969 to study theology and Korean. Park has a doctorate in Sociology and taught both undergraduate and graduate students at Sogang University, a Jesuit institution in Seoul, for 20 years. He also served on the university’s board of trustees and eventually left the academic world to assist the urban poor within the Seoul Diocese.
