Neil Debassige has been the principal at Lakeview School in M’Chigeeng First Nation for over 10 years. Debassige previously was a teacher at Lakeview School for five years before becoming a principal. He also oversees the First Nation Education Department programs, including day care, elementary school, secondary school, post-secondary program, and adult education programs. He recognizes the importance of creating a safe environment for all school members by incorporating values and traditions to which everyone can relate.
