Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio is the bishop of Brooklyn and an advocate for migrants and immigrants, whose causes he has supported throughout his priestly ministry in the Roman Catholic Church. He was named bishop to the Diocese of Brooklyn in 2003. He also holds a doctorate in social work research and policy from Rutgers University.
