Ambassador Ochieng Adala is a career diplomat and Deputy Director/Acting Executive Director at Africa Peace Forum (APFO), which he joined in June 1999. At APFO he has been in charge of Sudan Track II diplomacy and small arms and light weapons and conventional arms programs. A member of the Kenya Foreign service from April 1964 to April 1994, he was Kenya’s High Commissioner/Ambassador to Zambia and Southern African States form 1977-83 and Ambassador to Egypt and Northern African States from 1984-88. Ochieng served as Permanent Representative of Kenya to the United Nations during 1992-93. He is also a member of the Pugwash Council. He holds a BA in Political Science and a post-graduate diploma in International Relations.
