Pasquale
Ferrara, an Italian diplomat, is currently the Secretary General of the European University Institute in Florence. He joined the Italian Foreign Office in 1984 and has spent much of his
career in Italy and abroad, including overseas postings in Chile, Brussels, and the
United States. From 2009 to 2011, Ferrari was the head of the Ministry's Analysis and Planning Unit. He
continues to research international relations theory and has published numerous
articles and volumes on the topic.
