Philip H. Gordon is Mary and David Boies Senior Fellow in U.S. Foreign Policy at the Council on Foreign Relations. His areas of expertise include counterterrorism, the Middle East, Europe, and security alliances. Gordon was special assistant to the president and White House coordinator for the Middle East, North Africa, and the Gulf Region from 2013 to 2015.
