Protus Lumiti is the chief manager of the Nyumbani Children's Home, which cares for children with HIV/AIDS in Nairobi, Kenya; he has worked at Nyumbani since 1993. Serving as manager since 2000, Lumiti oversees the implementation of government regulations and policies created by the board of directors, liaises with the government, and manages public relations. In addition, he supervises the day-to-day support provided to residents, including medical care and education. Lumiti is also president of the local Rotary Club and a trustee on the Kiva microfinance platform. He holds bachelor’s degrees from Pontifical Urban University in Rome and Catholic University of Eastern Africa in Nairobi and an MBA from Kenyatta University in Nairobi. Lumiti is working toward a Ph.D. in business management from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.
