Father Rafael Garcia Mora, S.J., is the national director of Fe y Alegría Bolivia, serving in that capacity since 2010. He previously worked in NGOs involved in rural development with the indigenous population. Mora is a biologist, trained at the University of Barcelona, and also earned a degree in ecology and the environment from the University of Nottingham. Early in his career, he worked as a farmer in a small village near Barcelona, Spain. There he met a small Bolivian community and was invited to Guaraní, Bolivia to assist with experimental farming. Since arriving in Bolivia 33 years ago, Mora has devoted himself to enhancing education in Bolivia and has spread his knowledge to others throughout the country.
