Rajiv Desai is an associate professor of international development at the School of Foreign Service and in the Department of Government at Georgetown University. A non-resident senior fellow at the Brookings Institution, Desai has done consulting work for several international organizations, including the World Bank Group and the United Nations Development Program. His publications include, among others, "Constitutionalism and Credibility in Reforming Economies" (2006) and "The Logic of Authoritarian Bargains" (2009). He received his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in political science from Harvard University.
