Ambassador Robert A. Seiple was the first ambassador-at-large for international religious freedom at the U.S. Department of State from 1998 to 2000. In 2000, he founded the Institute for Global Engagement, where he is now chairman emeritus of the board. Seiple has served in board and administrative roles in various interfaith and educational organizations.
