Rochelle Davis is an associate professor of Cultural Anthropology in the Center for Contemporary Arab Studies in Georgetown University's Walsh School of Foreign Service. She is also academic director of the MA in Arab Studies Program. Her teaching interests include Arab society and culture, refugees, migrants, and immigrants in and out of the Arab world, and conflict and change. Davis's research encompasses Syrian refugees post 2011, Iraqi refugees in Jordan and Syria, and Palestinian refugees. She is the author of Palestinian Village Histories: Geographies of the Displaced (2010); Her articles have been published in Critique and Comparative Studies of South Asia, Africa and the Middle East. Davis studied at a variety of universities throughout the Middle East, including the American University in Cairo, the University of Jordan, and Yarmouk University in Jordan. Davis holds a B.A. from the University of California and an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Michigan.
