Rosa Letis Menjivar de Cordova is a kindergarten and first grade teacher in Carasque, Nueva Trinidad, Chalatenango in El Salvador. She began her education at a popular school during the El Salvador civil war. At the end of the conflict, and with only a fifth grade education, she became a popular teacher herself. She is currently a leading member of the Carasque women’s microfinance group. She is also the mother of a ten-year-old student at the Carasque public school.
