Ryan Covington graduated from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service in 2011 with a major in international politics. He received a summer research fellowship in 2010 from the Center for Social Justice and the Berkley Center to study the intersection of social justice, faith, and education. This led him to spend three weeks in Kibera, a slum in Nairobi, Kenya, where his research focused on St. Aloysius Gonzaga Secondary School, a Catholic charity that serves orphans who suffer from AIDS.
