Scott Flipse currently serves as the Deputy Director for Policy Research at the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom, which he joined in April 2003. Before joining the commission Flipse served as the associate director and adjunct professor for the University of Notre Dame’s Washington Semester. His previous experience included work as a staff assistant for Representative Frank Wolfe, with a portfolio focused on human rights, religious freedom, and foreign operations appropriations. Flipse holds a Ph.D. in Diplomatic History from Notre Dame and specializes in American foreign policy, particularly toward South and Southeast Asia.
