Seyyed Hossein Nasr is University Professor at George Washington University, specializing in Islamic studies and perennial philosophy. Born in Iran, Nasr earned an M.S. and Ph.D. from Harvard University and left Iran in 1979 in the wake of the Islamic Revolution. He has authored over 50 books.
