Shayna Solomon is an undergraduate student majoring in Political Science at Dickinson
College (class of 2016), with an interest in the intersection of religion and
politics. She recently returned from a year of studying abroad at the
University of Oxford, where she worked with the student think tank OxPolicy, researching
British diplomatic engagement with Muslim communities in Muslim-majority
countries. At Dickinson, she works for the Center for Service, Spirituality, and
Social Justice and has been president of the Jewish student organization,
Hillel. She is also active with J Street U, an advocacy group for a peaceful
two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
