Sonam Lama, a trained architect and first time filmmaker, is an advocate for the protection of cultural heritage and appropriate development strategies in the remote Himalaya region of Tsum, Nepal. Lama started collecting inventories of the ancient Buddhist architectural monuments in Tsum—his home region—in October 2012. He is currently working to galvanize global support for the urgent safeguarding of Tsum’s cultural heritage.
