Tameem Al-Talabani is a master's degree student in the Global Human Development Program and is working as a research assistant in a longitudinal research project exploring durable solutions for Iraqis who fled ISIS. He previously spent seven years with the Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) in Jordan. He was appointed acting country director of JRS in Jordan in 2014 after serving as project director for Amman projects, which included initiating collaboration with the Center for Victims of Torture and British Council in Jordan. In 2012, Al-Talabani helped initiate a higher education program, Jesuit Commons: Higher Education at the Margins, for host and refugee communities with limited access to higher learning opportunities. He first joined JRS as a computer skills instructor teaching basic and intermediate computer skills to Iraqi refugees after obtaining his B.Sc. in software engineering.
