Father Tapan
D’Rozario is the chairman of the Department of World Religions at the
University of Dhaka, as well as a Catholic priest in the Archdiocese of Dhaka.
He was formerly deputy secretary to the Catholic Bishops’ Conference in
Bangladesh and former national director of the Pontifical Mission Societies in
Bangladesh. D’Rozario has been actively involved in
interreligious dialogue and peacebuilding for many years. He is currently vice chairman of the Bangladesh Chapter of the Asian Conference of Religions for
Peace (ACRP) and vice chairman of the Bangladesh Chapter of the International
Association for Religious Freedom (IARF). He serves as associate editor of
PRODIPON, a quarterly review of philosophy and theology. D’Rozario holds a licentiate and doctorate in Biblical Theology from the Pontifical University of Urbaniana, Rome.
