Teresa Flores is a third grade teacher at Don Bosco School (Obra Social y Educativa Don Bosco) in Montevideo, Uruguay, a school affiliated with Fe y Alegría Uruguay. In addition, she coordinates Don Bosco's after-school program and tutors children with learning difficulties. She previously spent almost ten years as a public school teacher. Born in the same neighborhood where the school is located, she is also a martial arts instructor working to protect children from violence.
