Valentine
Gitoho is building networks to strengthen accountability for Christian
organizations across Africa. She has worked as a financial and management
consultant for the past seventeen years with non-profit organizations including
the World Bank and the World Council of Churches, in Africa and Asia as well as
in the corporate sector with
Binder Hamlyn in England, Price Waterhouse Kenya, and Diners Club International
Limited. She has sat on various profit and not for profit boards and is currently a
trustee of Africa International University, and board member of Stromme
Microfinance East Africa Limited, Trans World Radio International, and Beacon
of Hope. She and her husband are founders and trustees of LEEDS Foundation Trust.
She has a bachelor of commerce degree, a M.B.A from the University of Chicago, and is a fellow of the
Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, the Institute of
Certified Public Accountants in Kenya, and a member of the Institute of
Certified Public Secretaries in Kenya.
