William Schweiker is the Edward L. Ryerson Distinguished Service Professor of Theological Ethics at the University of Chicago where he serves in the Divinity School and various programs in the College. Schweiker has also been a guest professor at Uppsala University, where he holds an honorary doctorate, and at the University of Heidelberg, and has lectured at universities around the world. The author of many books and articles, his work engages theological and ethical questions attentive to global dynamics, comparative ethics, and developments in moral and political philosophy. Schweiker is also theologian-in-residence at the First United Methodist Church at the Chicago Temple.
