Wolfgang Palaver is professor in the Department of Systematic Theology at the University of Innsbruck. Palaver has published extensively on religion and violence, including Gewalt und Religion. Gespräche mit Wolfgang Palaver [Violence and Religion: Conversations with Wolfgang Palaver] (2018, with René Girards) and René Girards mimetische Theorie (2008), published in English as René Girard's Mimetic Theory (2013, trans. Gabriel Borrud).
