Xavier Jeyraj, SJ, is the Assistant of the Secretariat for Social Justice and Ecology of
the General Curia of the Society of Jesus. A social worker and lawyer by professional
training, in 2007 he began serving as the coordinator of the Jesuits’ social justice apostolate in
the South Asia region. Fr. Jeyraj assumed his current post as Secretary in January 2012.
