Yusuf Sarfati is an associate professor of politics and government at Illinois State University, where he teaches comparative politics of the Middle East. Sarfati’s research interests revolve around religious politics, social movements, and democratization. He is the author of Mobilizing Religion in Middle East Politics: A Comparative Study of Israel and Turkey (2013).
