Zeyneb Sayilgan is currently a doctoral student in the Theological and Religious Studies program in the department of theology at Georgetown University. She has a Master's degree in Islamic Studies and Christian-Muslim Relations from Hartford Seminary in Hartford, CT, and a Master's and a Bachelor's degree in Islamic Studies and Law from Johannes Gutenberg University, Mainz-Germany. She has presented numerous lectures on Islam and interreligious dialogue at many churches and schools and in the United States, including of the Presbyterian, Baptist, Methodist, Lutheran, and Episcopalian traditions. Along with her husband Salih, who is also a doctoral student in the Religion and Culture program at the Catholic University of America, she lives and works as Chaplain-in-Residence on the Georgetown campus.
