Education to Prevent Abuse against the Vulnerable in Italy

In June 2018, Mayeesha Galiba (C'19) spent a month in Rome, Italy researching the work of the Centre for Child Protection (CCP), as part of the Education and Social Justice Fellowship, a joint initiative by the Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs and the Center for Social Justice Research, Teaching, and Service at Georgetown University. While in Rome, she conducted qualitative interviews with employees of the CCP, an organization under the Gregorian Pontifical University, and their partners in Rome and around the world about their work safeguarding children and vulnerable persons by promoting prevention measures against sexual abuse and other forms of abuse.
