Dr. Matthew Anderson is a lecturer in Georgetown University's Department of Theology and Religious Studies. His research focuses on Christian-Muslim relations, Islamic approaches to modernity, and the theological and social challenges posed by religious diversity. While completing his Ph.D. at Georgetown, Anderson was twice granted a summer dissertation fellowship with the Religious Freedom Research Project (2015, 2017). He also served as a co-editor for the Religious Freedom Research Project's 2014 volume, "Islam and Religious Freedom: A Sourcebook of Scriptural, Theological, and Legal Texts." 

Katrina Lantos Swett is president of the Lantos Foundation for Human Rights and Justice. She is a former commissioner and chair of the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom. Lantos Swett also teaches human rights and American foreign policy at Tufts University.

Daniel Philpott is a professor of political science at the University of Notre Dame. Philpott specializes in religion and global politics, with emphases on reconciliation, religious freedom, and theories of religious actors' political behavior. He has also participated in faith-inspired reconciliation efforts in some of the world’s worst conflict zones, including Kashmir and the Great Lakes region of Africa. Philpott's publications include Just and Unjust Peace: An Ethic of Political Reconciliation (2012); God’s Century: Resurgent Religion and Global Politics (2011, co-authored with Monica Toft and Timothy Shah); Strategies of Peace: Transforming Conflict in a Violent Word (2010, edited with Gerard F. Powers); The Politics of Past Evil: Religion, Reconciliation, and Transitional Justice (2006); and Revolutions in Sovereignty: How Ideas Shaped Modern International Relations (2001). From 2011 to 2016, he was an associate scholar with the Berkley Center's Religious Freedom Project and is currently a senior associate scholar with the Religious Freedom Institute. He holds a Ph.D. from Harvard University.​

Nina Shea is a Hudson Institute senior fellow, where she directs the Center for Religious Freedom; a former commissioner on the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom; and an international human rights lawyer. Shea works extensively for the advancement of individual religious freedom and other human rights in U.S. foreign policy.

Asma T. Uddin is currently an expert advisor on religious liberty to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), Inclusive America Project Fellow at the Aspen Institute, and senior scholar at the Freedom Forum Institute. She is also a Berkley Center research fellow. A graduate of the University of Chicago Law School, Uddin subsequently served as counsel for the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty; director of strategy for the Center for Islam and Religious Freedom in Washington, DC; and as a fellow with the Initiative on Security and Religious Freedom at the UCLA Burkle Center for International Relations.
