Georgetown's largest student-run international affairs conference hosted policymakers and experts to discuss the important topic of the changing landscape of war and peace. How have unconventional technologies changed the rules of warfare? How has the rise of non-state actors altered the field for war and peacekeeping? What will be the United States’ role in war and peace amidst the growing diffusion of global power? These and other questions were addressed by the keynote speaker, former US senator and Georgetown professor Chuck Hagel, and in greater depth in the ensuing panel discussions. Panel topics included the evolution of counterinsurgency, cyber warfare, trade relations, and military privatization.

This event was sponsored by the Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs and the Georgetown International Relations Club.
