Globalization, Religion, and the Secular
Jürgen Habermas and Charles Taylor, winners of the 2015 John W. Kluge Prize from the Library of Congress, joined Berkley Center professor José Casanova for a conversation about their work. The discussion ranged across the issues of the religious/secular divide, challenges of pluralism and democratic order, and the immigration crisis. Taylor delivered the 2008 Berkley Center Lecture and Habermas was the featured lecturer in 2011.
This event was co-sponsored by the Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs and the John W. Kluge Center at the Library of Congress.
