Jørn Lemvik, secretary general of Digni (the Norwegian umbrella organization that coordinates and recognizes faith-inspired development efforts), reflected on the role of faith actors, especially Christian organizations, in the evolution of Norway's development work and strategy. Lemvik has been part of a recent rethinking of church-state relations prompted by an op-ed by Norway's development and environment minister titled "Taking God Seriously,” which offers a new approach to engaging with religious actors in the highly secular Norway.
