Berna Zengin Arslan is associate professor in sociology at Ozyegin University, Istanbul. She was a 2019-2020 Fulbright Fellow in the Department of Rhetoric at the University of California, Berkeley. She has published various articles on the subjects laïcité; Turkish secularism; legal pluralism; Islam and science; gender, science and technology; and Alevi recognition in Turkey.
