Edward Wastnidge is senior lecturer in the Department of Politics and International Studies at The Open University, where he leads the international studies program. His research primarily focuses on Iranian foreign policy and diplomacy. Wastnidge is currently deputy director of the Sectarianism, Proxies and Desectarianisation project at Lancaster University and co-editor of the Identities and Geopolitics in the Middle East book series from Manchester University Press.
