"An Unlikely Advocate": UNA-NCA 2019 Human Rights Awards Reception Remarks

Author: Katherine Marshall

December 10, 2019

Katherine Marshall received the United Nations Association of the National Capital Area's 2019 Louis B. Sohn Human Rights Award in recognition of her work to highlight the role of both the United Nations and non-government organizations in promoting human rights. Marshall concludes that while answers to human rights questions are often complicated, they nonetheless remain a universal "north star" and ethical foundation.
